Program Description

Event Details

Missouri University's Extension office is coming by to host their GARDENING program!

This program is open to all kids/students aged 5-18

  • This program is a series class. Attendance of this program is a prerequisite for attendance to the harvest class on July 21.

Kids will learn some of the basics of gardening, as well as different benefits to sourcing and growing your own foods. Then they'll get to put that new knowledge to work by helping us plant some different things in our library's garden box. Throughout the summer, kids will have the opportunity to stop by and check on the progress of plants and assist with watering and upkeep. At the end of summer, we will come back together for a follow-up program to harvest our plants to take home and discuss different recipes we can use for our fresh new ingredients!
