Playing together since 2017, the Divines unite three part harmonies with Irish, Old Time and Americana music. This five-woman band features the lyrical stylings of Katie Alexander, lead and rhythm guitar by Detta Carter, lead violin by Nora Bellows, violin and tin whistle by Mary Sullivan, and violin and bodhran by Lisa Glenn. The Divines form a distinct sound of traditional music ranging from emotional Irish ballads to lively sing-alongs with plenty of dance tunes in the mix.
